MATCH UPDATE (23-11-2009)

Welcome to DASHES Series. This week we have played 3 matches.

The teams were Captained by Javeed and Joseph.

1st Match:
Joseph won the toss and elected to bat first.

Ravi Shankar and Joseph opened the innings for their team.But Unfortunately lost their 1st wkt earlier.Rajkumar bowled teriffic.He got sankar,Joseph and Arun wickets.Arun hit 6 and followbed by a four.He bowled out by Rajkumar. Rajkumar bowled well. He took 3 wickets. Finally Joseph team set a target of 34 runs to Javeed Team.

Javeed Team was on fire. They acheived the target in just 4.5 overs. Javeed and Vadivel smashed 2 sixers each and a four.Javeed smashed 2 huge sixes at padmanaban’s 1st over. Javeed team successfully chased the target without any difficult.

Rajkumar was elected as man of the match. He took 3 valuable wickets.

2nd Match (8 over)

Javeed won the toss and elected to bat first

Arulraj and Vadivel opened the innings for javeed team.Arulraj were playing singles and gave chance to vadivel.But vadivel out earlier.Then Ramalingam came for first down and smashed Ravisankar over. He hit2 back to back sixers and a four. Ravisankar had struggle to bowl Ramalingam. Finally Javeed team set a target of 42 runs.

Joseph and Arunkumar opened the innings for joseph team. Joseph got out earlier.Then Arun also got out. Ravi Shankar and Yogesh gave partnership for joseph team. Ravisankar faced Ramalingam over hit 2 sixers and 4. He got revenge in Ramalingam’s over. Totally, Ravisankar hit 4 sixers and a 4. After Ravisankar and yogesh were dismissed, match was so tight. Finally Lakshmanan hit a 4 to finish the match. Joseph team won the match by 1 wicket.

Man of this Match was Ravisankar. He took 6 wickets and hit 4 sixes.

3rd Match (6 Overs)

Joseph won the toss and bat first. Few changes made to both the teams.

Sriram and Yogeshwaran opened the innings for joseph team.Started slowly hit singles and coupler runs for their team.Padmanaban picked 2 wickets.Finally Joseph Team fixed the target 35 for Javeed team.

The openers of Javeed’s team Arul raj and Rajkumar came to the match after their night shift work. So, they got out early. They many quick wickets. They were in deep trouble as their middle order batsmen Javeed, vadivel and Jawahar karthik out without scoring much. But Joseph team can’t capitalize the situation. They can’t control the fire innings from Padmanaban. He smashed Joseph’s bowlers. He hit 4 sixers and a 4. He smashed 2 sixer in the thrilling Lakshmanan’s last over

Man of the Match Padmanaban. He picked 2 wickets and smashed 4 sixes and a four to win the series for his team.
