MATCH UPDATE

After Diwali celebration, we have played DASHES matches at Trisulam Cricket Ground (TCG) on 19th October.

Today, 3 matches were played to decide the winner of this week DASHES SERIES. The teams were captained by Javeed and Selva respectively.

Javeed Team:

Selva Team:

9. Lakshmanan
10. Mustak

Match Results:

Match 1: (8 Overs match)

Selva won the toss and elected to bat first. They managed to score only 27 runs in 8 overs. Jebaseelan was the highest scorer in this innings with 12 runs.

Captain Vs Captain

The interesting point was Selva bowled out by Javeed. Captain bowled opponent team’s captain.

In reply to that Javeed team failed to chase that score. The last 4 overs bowled excellently by Padmanaban and Selva. Javeed team needed 10 runs from last 6 balls. They did it successfully last week. But it did not happen this week. Arun faced selva’s first ball. He can’t score for the first 3 balls. He scored 1 run in the 4th ball. So, now they need to score 9 runs in just 2 balls to win the match. Javeed faced 5th ball. He failed to hit that ball. So, the win was guaranteed to selva’s team. He bowled out Javeed in the last ball. Again it was Captain Vs. Captain.

Selva team won by 8 runs.

Match 2: (10 Overs match)

Javeed won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 51 runs in 10 overs. In reply, Selva’s team failed to chase this score. They managed to scored just 33 runs and lost the match by 17 runs. Very good bowling performance by Yusoof, Dinesh, Javeed.

Match 3: (8 Overs match)

Even though it was a very hot day, all the players agreed to play the 3rd match to decide the series winner. KK and Amarnath had urgent work and they retired from the series. So, yusoof came to selva team. Selva won the toss and choose to bat first. They scored 57 runs in just 8 overs. Yusoof, Vinoth, Mustak, Padmanaban, Jebaseelan batted very well.

Javeed team chased it very hard. But the good bowling performance from their opponent can’t allow them to reach this score. Javeed & Co managed to score just 43 runs in 8 overs and lost by 14 runs.

This week DASHES SERIES won by selva’s team as 2-1.

Some important features of this week DASHES SERIES:

1. The series was so enjoyable as Yusoof, Thamizh, Yogeshwaran, Lakshmanan, KK, Rafiq, Vadivel V were participated newly in this series.

2. Even though yusoof tried to make opponent team against DASHES Series, he came to play here at TCG(Trisulam Cricket Ground) with his some of the team mates.

Hats Off to Yusoof Bhai.

3. Selva broke his ankle by trying to save a boundary. He also fell down while running for a run. He got injury in his hands and leg.

4. Yogeshwaran and Arun tried to take a catch at boundary line. Both collided each other, Yogeshwaran got heavy injury.

5. Javeed made the ball disappear into the Railway track twice in consecutive balls.

6. All the 3 matches were won by the team batted first. Toss was the crucial thing in this ground (Like Kolkata's Eden Garden ground).

8. Joseph S can't come to play in DASHES Series for the last two occassions as he was in his native place for urgent work.

7. Rajkumar, Amarnath, Rafiq, Yogeshwaran etc., came to the ground after completing their night shift work. Hats Off to you guys. Thanks for coming.
